Animal Well True Ending Guide

Animal Well is an excellent game of exploration, platforming, and puzzles. The Layer 1 of Animal Well is to reach the end of the game, running away from the Manticore until you're able to blow it up in the final area of the game. If you've reached the credits here and are feeling successful be aware that there is a true ending of the game. In this Animal Well True Ending Guide we will explain what you need to do to reach the True Ending of the game, and what secrets lie deeper.

Animal Well True Ending Requirements

The requirements for reaching the true ending of the game are:

• You have obtained all 64 eggs, this will open the doorway in the Egg Chamber room to reveal the 65th Egg
• You have obtained all of the extra inventory items in the game. This means you have access to the Remote, the Bouncy Ball, the Wheel, and the Top
  (You will already have all of these if you've got the 65th Egg

Once you have all of those items return to the rooms where you were first chased by the Manticore. In the upper right of this four-room puzzle is a floor that you can use the Top on revealing the Incubation Chamber. Putting the 65th egg inside will spawn a second Manticore.

Lead this Manticore to the right side of the Manticore Puzzle Room and let it use its eye lasers to destroy the glass on the right, from there you can use your top to reveal a Wheel pad. Raise the block here until it is out of sight.

Then return to the Incubator Room and let the Manticore use its lasers on the glass wall on the left to gain access to a new room.

In this new room there will be an alternating wall that you use the Remote on, a block would be there but we've already raised that, and then a wall that the bouncy ball can destroy. Once you reach the left most part of this room play your Flute in front of the Flute Shrine and the Manticore will become docile.

Jump inside it's mouth to reach the True Ending.

Animal Well What To Do After Escaping The Well?

Once you're flying through space with the Manticore fly up and you'll reach the underside of a platform. This is where you can see the Secret Bunnies that you've already collected and it's where you start the BDTP puzzle.

You can also now use the floating donut to warp between this location and the Well.

Animal Well True Ending Early Access

If you already know how to reach the True Ending and you haven't killed the first Manticore you can use it to reach the True Ending, provided you've collected all of the necessary items (of which the Top requires you to obtain 32 eggs).
